A small dairy that decided to do it the slow way
Native Nature is a Gir cow dairy in Patna, run by Pitvas Naturals Private Limited. We sell two things, and we make both properly.
Not the cheapest, and not trying to be
There is no shortage of milk in Patna. What is harder to find is milk where you can point to the herd it came from, know what those animals eat, and know that nothing was added on the way to your door.
That is the whole business. One herd of Gir cows at our farm in Fatehpur, milked each morning, delivered the same day. Ghee made from that same milk by the bilona method, which takes more milk and more time than the commercial process.
It costs more than packet milk. We would rather explain why than pretend otherwise.
Four things we hold to
Not aspirations. These are the rules we actually run the business by.
One herd, one source
Everything we sell comes from our own cows. We do not buy in milk from other farms to cover demand, and we would rather run out than start.
Nothing added, nothing removed
No preservatives, no powder, no dilution, no colour in the ghee. What leaves the farm is what reaches you.
Only claims we can stand behind
We will tell you the breed, the feed, and the process, because we can show you all three. We do not make health claims we cannot prove.
The animal comes first
Open grazing, organic fodder, traditional care, no growth hormones. A stressed herd does not produce milk worth paying extra for.
